dpfi to mpfi problem please help

Default dpfi to mpfi problem please help

okay well i rewired the dizzy and its all good now..but now when i try to start it it backfires....and wont start...would this be because of bad gas in it?? i cant check codes cuz the car needs to be running but...im thinkin its ignition timing? would this be correct...i turned the dizzy to be in the middle thinkin its like neutral timing if u can understand that and still nothing...any help would be appreciated thanks!!!

If it is backfiring and all your wiring checks out, then it could be that the rotor on the dizzy is 180 degrees backward. just pop the dizzy out and pull the rotor off and rotate it 180 degrees. If is it backward, then it will try and fire on the exhaust stroke and will cause a backfire. But make sure your wiring is correct.
