Default How to get Navigation in my 2004 Accord ?

I have a silver 2004 Accord EXL with 6 disc in dash Cd changer where the climate controlis built into the same unit. I am from Canada and tried to get the factory Navi package but of course it is only available in the states . I need some help from you guys with some suggestions what would be my best option to get navigation . I was looking into getting the Factory Navigation system from car wreckers from teh states . Only thing i a worried about is will i get all the parts i need. One thing i could never find is the gps antenna as an option to purchase seperately ? Or is it integrated into the actual unit ? Then there is the question if my car has all the neccessary hook ups , but then again i believe the canadian model and us model should be the same anyways ? Any ideas on any aftermarket systems ? I was looking at the Pioneer Avic D1 but then there is no dash kit i could find for it . Please any feedback or comments or even any pictures of your own installations would be awesome .

i'm sure there are others; check the chain electronic stores. you might have to get the flipout monitor instead. aftermarket will be easier to install and more reliable than piecing back together a factory system. make sure you get a brand that has the map for canada.

not sure why the first link goes elsewhere, but go through again and put in your car specs.

If you didnt get it stock...i would suggest just getting an aftermarket setup...both Pioneer and Alpine sell VERY nice navi systems that flip out...and double as dvd players as well (which is a benefit over the stock navi systems)...that and you wont be spending a ton on yearly upgrade discs...i just spent $200 on the 2005 disc for my CL-S.

Im assuming this is true, but with my Acura setup...the climate controls are run through the navigation screen itself...(i have a screen for a/c on-off, fan speed, fan type and a couple other options on the touch screen itself)...so im guessing since alpine made both systems for Honda (Acura)...that its the same.

The trim piece should still have some climate control buttons including a thermostat reading and warmer/cooler setting for that, on/off button, defrost button for front and rear...i think thats it.
