Default Are rear disk brake e-brake cables interchangeable?

I have a dilemma right now so i need H-T to help me out. I bought a set of 98 integra rear disk brakes that were messed up so I had a friend get a set of 99-00 Si for me so I could return the old set and put the new ones on BUT the e-brake cables are cut. So i'm looking for a set but have been having a hard time finding some.

So now i'm wonder if all the e-brake cables are interchangeable because someone has a set of DA e-brake cables that is willing to sell for a really good price. i just need to know if the DA brake e-brake cables will fit the 99-00 Si rear disk brakes and fit my 96 DX hatch.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR HELP!!!!

just get the 99-00 SI brake cables. they'll fit perfectly. do it right the first time. less headach for u.

or DC brake cables. it'll be longer and one of the brackets won't fit right but it'll fit. i have ITRs on my EK and that's how it is...

i'd be surprise if someone knows if the DA and DC/SIs are the same.

E-brake cables are a pain in the ***!!! I have done 2 rear disk conversions. But its definetly worth the struggle in the end!! One EG and one EK..

I know you can use dc cables but they are a tiny bit too short. You cant use one of the hangers. They still work perfectly though. I've had them on my car for almost 2 years.

IMO it is best to do the brakes 100% correctly. Sure you can get other makes to work if you leave off a mount, or route it a certain way, but do you want to know that part of what stops you car in an emergency is jury rigged? Be safe, get the correct cable.

well for an ek hatch you'd have to get the cables from japan, thats just way too much of a pain.
