are these classes recommended right after the basic course, or is it too advanced? any schools recommended? thanks in advance
the MSF course is great, but it completing it does not mean you should go ride on the streets. practice in parking lots, then move to the streets. get some miles under your belt, if you feel like an advanced course, take it. i would suggest taking your bike to a track day...you'll learn more than you will in thousands of miles of riding.
Yeah I'd like to go back and take the advanced course some day as well.
I was anxious as well to take it right after I finished the MSF BRC.
My instructors at the time I took the MSF recommended getting about 2-3 seasons under your belt first and then coming back. Well that was about four almost five years ago. I will make it back though. I wouldn't mind doing one of their big group rides either.

I just finished the MSF Basic course, and they instructor told me all you have to have for the advanced course is your own bike.
But they also said there were track schools all around the country, as well.

The experienced riders course is pretty good, worth checking out. Track schools teach you a lot about control too. They're pretty pricey but worth it. Check out http://www.starmotorcycles.com or http://www.classrides.com when you get some more experience under your belt.

For the advanced MSF Course, you will need your own bike, INSURANCE, registration, and a license .. along with 1 year/3000 miles under your belt*
*this is for WA

My ridercoach suggests 3000 miles on your own bike before taking the advanced course. That way you know how your bike handles. If you're not familiar with your bike, you might drop it during the course since they take you to the limit.

If your going to try and recommend a school at least try to sound somewhat intelligent.
This guy was trying to say that you should attend Keith Code's California Superbike School. The website is here:
http://www.superbikeschool.com
Unlike what the project implied they aren't strictly located in Southern California and they have classes all around the world for anyone else that is interested. After reading Keith's books a number of times I definitely like his method and want to attend some of his classes .
