You have a '94 CBR600F2. Good first bike and plenty fast. Since its a '94, it has cartidge forks (can adjust preload and rebound) which is a lot better than the damper type forks of the 91-93 F2's. One bad thing about the bike: $3k is way too much for a repainted F2....you could have bought a '95+ F3

Yeah 3k is pretty high, I picked my F2 up for 2 flat. I guess it depends on how many miles are on the clock though.

great 1st bike with a near bulletproof motor, i went down on my f2 and it held up really well(25-30mph lowside) i overrevved it all the time and it ran great till the day i sold it, sold it to a buddy who has dumped it twice(pretty bad too) bad enough to bend clipons and break a rearset(the thing that the rear brake is attached to) and it still runs awesome and the crankcase cover on both sides held up really well to alot of sliding. When youve got some experience under your belt id suggest changing the gearing a little itll drop your top speed but will vastly improve acceleration and makes riding in the twisties much more fun. and get a steering damper asap, youll see why after you get one.

p.s. if anyone has ever ridden hwy. 9 in norcal then you know how my buddy the newbie rider got owned.

Just picked up my '94 F2, and I paid 3k. It too has had a lot done to it, as well as a new paint job. Great bike I love mine!

How many miles are on it?

KBB says $3095, so I don't think it was too high, it just depends on condition, mileage, and how bad you wanted a bike.

Good buy, Good bike!

Where is a good source to get F2 and F3's?

Looking for a first bike as well.
