Default Del Sol or Civic DX

This might seem lame to you guys but i have a question of whether or not i should trade my 94 Civic DX with 118,000 on it for a Del Sol with about 230,000 on it.and could my intake be used on the Del Sol(its an AEM V2).

why do you want to trade it ? Do you want the Del Sol more than the Civic, if so, trade it. The intake might work, most Honda aftermarket parts are interchangeable, best bet is to try to put it on the Del Sol to see fitment, it takes less than 5 minutes to change it out. Good luck!

Well yeah I want the Del Sol but didn't know if it was worth trading my civic for.The reason I'm trading though is because I don't have the money to buy it.

Amen to that but they are relatively easy to fix.

remember... del sol has 230k on it... thats a lot... so u might be needing a motor really soon... then again if its taken care of it can last up to 300k like my bros 84 rex

by chance do you have an idea how much those seals are... your looking at 500+ for new seals. if i was aware of the leaking problem b4 i got my car i'd never have got it because of the inconvenience. also sols before 95 also didnt have trunk release so theres another feature you might be interested in.

You know my new seals were only 120ish.

silicone is <$10 and works great for me, although you have to redo it every 6 months or so. door handles commonly break too. I hope you have money for a new engine soon, 200K + means it's probably not too heathly. Also, the v2 will fit if its the same motor. I don't think it'll line up with the b, but a hacksaw could probably fix that. Also remember that your dx is lighter, so the sol will be slower.

Depending on the trim level of the Sol , i'd go w/ it ... I've always been a fun of Sol's tho (so i'm a little biased , but i am a civic owner )

i got 233,000 on my cx hatch stock 1.5 motor.. i beat on it everyday harshly. got the b-series waiting 4 it. that del sol is proably fine. i would take a del sol over a hatch. the value of them r higher. and theres nothing like pickn up chicks with the top off in a jdm *** car.

I don't see what about it is JDM, unless this particular car is. Either way, girls do have some unexplained attraction to del sols. I've never understood it, but it's a very real thing.

Really well thats a push in the right direction.Oh another thing i wondered was whether or not you get alot of wind noise like in a convertible. Also I'd probably do a engine swap within a few months so I don't think the mileage is a problem.
