I removed my power steering last summer and was recently informed that it would be much much easier to steer my car with a rack that was not designed to have p/s. I have an H22 swap which makes matters even worse when it comes to steering. It doesn't really bother me much, other than the calises on my left hand, but if it isn't an expensive part (if available), where can I buy one, and should I? Thanks, Rob.

Sounds like anther proplem to me. Check out the local yards for a none power one if you think it will make a difference.

Sometimes the rack/pinion of a non-PS rack can make movement easier (more turns lock to lock). I don't know if this is true in your case (sorry, not very knowledgeable on Honda part swaps).

However if you haven't followed the directions in this thread, then your power rack should get better after you drain some fluid. Apologies if you already did this.

 

From what i heard its because of hte fluid used with the power steering that remains after u take the pump and crap out, i know my manual rack is much easier to turn than my buddies rack and he just pulled hte pump and crap, never swapped racks!!!
