Which Jdm SOHC motor is better to boost the D16A or D15B?

 

i would say d16

How about just use the D16Z6. It's just as good as any of those motors. Also, you don't want to go with the LSD in the SOHC if you plan on running very much boost. They've been known to self destruct around 140 whp.

wtf is a d16a ?

d15b's are great,
even if they are a 1.5,
that 1.5L is what gives them a beautiful rod/stroke ratio, so they can rev real free and smooth..

never heard of the d16a
but the 1.6 ZC vtec is real nice as well, not as good of a r/s ratio,
but it's got oodles of hp and tq

I had a D16Z6 in my old coupe and loved it, I hear the D15B is somewhat close in alot of ways so i cant wait to get one for my hatch

Its a CRX si motor

I believe it came in the latter years of the CRX... 90-91

hmm depends ... i own a d16.. ( d16z6 ) its alright, torqueless though, not alot of power .. dont expect much .. 1.6 .. etc.. hmm get a d15b for sure

or you could save money by buying a USDM motor? your gonna overpay for a JDM d15b, when you could get a z6 swap for around 400 bucks

ah, so it's the jdm version of the d16a6?

 

jdm d15b ! ive had my swap for like 5yrs now and it still runs like a champ and its to the point now where i dont even change the oil ! shes awesome ! GOOD MOTORS !

HOLD UP HOLD UP IS THIS GUY BULLSHITTIN OR IS IT THAT I DIDN'T KNOW ...ALL ZC SOHC COME WITH AN LSD??????

I have that LSD tranny for my z6.
