catz HID ballast fell off!!!
My brother was messing around with some wiring on my car and somehow didn't secure the ballast and it simply fell off while on the highway. I know a lot of these HID companies will outsource and I believe that the ballasts are actually made by Phillips. Anyway, does anyone know where I would be able to get a replacement ballast? I have searched and there are many results, but are only from past classifieds and I really do not know what ballasts are compatible with my kit.
<-------- never thought I would have to replace anything from my kit that I purchased brand new.
The information that I have is that the part number from the Catz ballast is CZG04110. Input voltage: DC12v. Output voltage: 85v 35w. Open circuit voltage 380v. Please help a brotha out.

This should work: http://www.hidplanet.com/forum...=7259
You do not need to have the same ballast. Any Hell Gen 3 Ballast will work.

I'm 99% sure you can only use the ballasts produced by Catz. Philips and Hella ballast have the ignitor module built into one unit. The Catz kits have a seperate box for the ignitor.

the Catz kit does have the ignitor and ballast separated and NOT integrated together as the ones that were suggested above. due to that reason alone i cannot trust that i can buy those ballasts. do you know if there are other ballasts that are compatible or where i can purchase Catz ballasts???

Right, but what would be so bad about hooking up a Hella ballast instead, provided he is using a D2S bulb (And removes the remaining "seperate ignitor box")?

Good luck finding a single Catz ballast for sale. Those seem to be rare, since they became illegal to sell in the US. They pop up once in a blue moon on ebay.
As mentioned above, you can always try to utilize another manufacturers ballast and see if it works......

does anyone know how to get a hold of catz or a reputable distributor of catz? i bought my kit from trevor at visualdynamics in canada, but he is no longer in business.
i think i have found the right ballast. according to canuck-mx6, the ballasts are made from panasonic. if any one of you go to suvlights.com, click on the "xenon hid & ballasts" link on the left. the first one shown is EXACTLY what the catz kit looks like with the ignitor separated from the ballast. can anyone vouch for suvlights or verify that the ballasts to go for 165 each? yeah, 165 each!!!
