Art Morrison Chrome moly is what I have. Kens Kustom Chassis has one for like $150 notched and ready to be welded (that's always extra). Full-Race also has one notched and ready to be welded. Check on all 3 of them. Here is a pic of my Art Morrison cage.

I've been looking for the weld in kit that I want to get lately. There's no way I'm gonna run a "save your back seat" style cage since I won't be keeping my rear seat. The only other thing that I notice about alot of pre-made kits is the main hoop doesn't seem to fit tightly at all.
The autopower main hoops fit very tightly, but I don't think they make a weld in chromoly setup. The full-race looks to be what I'm looking for, I'm just waiting on some pictures of installed (main hoop tightness).

These are my thoughts with my recent research.

The Art Morrison has both options: With or without rear seat. The without rear seat is cheaper. In the pic from the rear of the car, you can get an idea of the "tightness" of mine. I believe that the Kens kit, and the Full-Race kit are pretty much no rear seat. Also anything that you get from Full-Race will be TOP NOTCH stuff. Please note that a lot of the kits out there may require some "trimming" of the main hoop.

I'll have pics of a Full Race cage installed in a few days. We're finishing the car up. I'll post them up when it's done. I have pics of everything else but that right now.

Cool. I expect the full-race to be excellent with the fitment, it's just that whole "I want pictures before I decide" kinda thing. lol.

Please make sure to post them.

You must TIG if the cage is cromoly. If the cage is mild steel you can MIG or TIG.

Not true. You MIG the mild steel base plates to the floorpan and the bottom legs of the roll cage to the base plates. Then you TIG the rest of the chromoly joints onto the cage.

so if you buy one of these kits, what's a ballpark figure of what you'll have to pay to get it welded in?

It depends on if your neighbor down the street has a 110v tig welder or you call John Force for a recommendation. It's really hard to say.
