Default question on hybrid smogging

I have a jdm b16 in my 1994 civic. i believe the motor is a 93 del sol jdm . Will this setup be hard to modify and fix to pass smog visual and test. I know you are suppose to have a newew engine in the car, does that go for jdm motor as well?

is it worth money wise to fix it to pass smog or will this require lots and lots of effort , time and money

currently i tow this car to the track but i was thinking about make a commuter car out of it also..

thanks
