After reading about about h22/accord swaps for months, Hasport's guide, guides from people on HT and other forums I thought I had everything figured out about the swap.
Here is a list of things that I either missed in the writeups or was never informed of.

1. If the h22 is '96 or older, you need a 97+(h22) power steering pump bracket in order to use your accord pump.
2. If you use and obd2-1 conversion harness with your accord wiring harness you might as well just do the pinouts for the ecu yourself and save the 80 bucks on the conversion harness.

Here are some things that I overlooked in the process of getting my swap ready OR during the swap that I did not intend to happen.

1. None of the distributor caps for usdm h22s fit on my '92 JDM h22.
2. The autotensioner is a bitch of a process unless you have teh proprietary honda tool. If i had it to do over again I would have converted to a manual tensioner.(thanks mike and hostie )

Hope this can help some of you save time and money with your swap.

 

use a 92 accord ex distributor cap

normally with an obd1 h22 we use a 97+ h22 pump and bracket.

always convert to manual tensioner if you have it apart.

 

Ok as I did the swap here are the things I realized:

1. You gotta pull it with a pretty steep angle, about as much as you would pulling a motor from a DA
2. If you have an ex you'll have to run wires directly to the ecu. I hacked the conversion harness up to stick the wires in. if I had it to do over again, I'd solder directly to the prongs in the ecu. Use an LX harness if at all possible.
3. Power steering pump --> lines don't fit. Cut and braize or 97+ prelude bracket with accord pump
4. You can't get plug wires for it at azone, etc. for it. Some people say you can go to azone and get a 96 lude bla bla bla, you can't. I called pep boys, advance, and azone and its the same part number for differing years. Go to honda and save yourself the trouble.
5. Auto tensioners suck and completely owned my life. Conver to manual if at all possible! Otherwise, 2 screw drivers and channell locks = win.
6. You need the prelude side mount and you can just grind it down some to get it to fit. I would HIGHLY recommend replacing all mounts with prelude ones, they are beefier and your accord ones will probably be torn, anyway!
7. Wiring weirdness' galore! This is much different than a b swap
8. Good buddies to help are invaluable. Thanks to hostie and shu for the helping hand so I get get jakes turd out of my garage.

I would ABSOLUTELY still recomend buying a conversion harness, despite what jake said. He's just mad cause it looks hack, it would have taken WAY more time to not use it. I'll clean it up later brah.

one thing you are all missing is most of what you say applies ONLY to 94-97 accords.

dont want some noob thinking it applies to his 90-93 accord, or 98+ accord.

 

i've heard a 90-93 accord exhaust will fit perfectly onto a 94-97 accord with an h22.

 

1 more thing to put in- pin a6 must be switched w/ pin a11 ir the car will not run. it took me a week to figure that out and rip out my f22 ecu

 

all this stuff is WELL documented all over the internet... we figured all this mess out like 4 years ago

 

Im sure, honestly I didnt do that much searching, I looked at hasports h22 swap guide and talked to a few people but that was about it. The thing I would recommend most is using an LX harness.
