Default tire wear on Kuhmo 710's

I saw a lot of the HC guys on these this weekend.....and my 2 year old victoracers are hard as cement so i need new tires, the question is, how long do the 710's last .....(ie. how many race weekends)

hiya harper!

that cmp pavement was HARD on mine; up til that event, i had one day at mid ohio on them, and it was mostly wet and snowy (very little noticable wear)!

after cmp, i'd say i have about 1/2 left; and i rotated between sat and sun... i think they will go another weekend, and maybe barely barely make it thru another, for a total of 3-1/2 weekends (assuming the next two weekends are at "normal" wearing tracks, like summit point). i hope.

i liked the way they hooked up, though, that is fer shur! they did go away noticeably by the last 3 laps both days, but i was hounding on them and never eased up much....

I raced/practiced/qualified the complete 2002 ECHC season on a set.

Jack, the V710 wasn't even out in 2002. I think you are thinking of the V700 Ecstas or Victoracers...

hi jack! wish you were still out playing with us.....

i think he was asking about the new 710 tires; you were probably running on the 700 victoracers?

the 710 basically has no tread; just two circular grooves. its laughable to call it a "dot tire", but hey, its legal!

Two weekends, 4 races so far (Road Atlanta, CMP). Two of the four tires had a much harder life than the other two. They were used on the front one day at Road Atlanta and both days at CMP. I think one, or maybe two practice sessions are left in these two, while the other two are looking much better. Still it's hard to tell exactly how much tread is left at the moment since the tires are full of sand/dirt from CMP's paddock.

You must still be dreaming about Ferrari's from this weekend

Getting 3+ weekends' worth of wear out of them so far. They don't go off for me, but I'm in a Miata so I probably don't work them the way a FWD car would. My hot tire temps have been in the 130's-150's at their highest. I'll have more data after this weekend. I'm really pleased with them. Anyway, don't expect miracles, they're one of the two fastest tires you can buy right now.

I think CMP counts as two weekends compared to other tracks. Flat & somewhat abrasive.

I would probably have seen three good weekends out of a set if the co driver didnt flat spot two fo them. They didnt flatspot to the cord, but they thump pretty well.

We saw over 180F on the fronts on pit lane last weekend. Don't want to think what they get up to mid corner, especially on the insides. (I like ITA Miatas and I like CMP, however I just don't like the sound that these words make when used in the same sentence.)

Hey guys i know that this is a little off but one of the guys we run ( auto x ) with has over 200 runs on his 710's and they are still on the car " he also quit counting".. Now he is running a Z06 but even the guys running them on their Miata's ( both supercharged ) have had a half a season on theirs so far.. So far so good..

What kind of pressures have you been using? And if you don't mind me asking, how long are the races?
I just bought 2 sets and I intend to run one set on our Civic Si roadracer in our local regional roadraces.
The other, I will run this weekend on my DS ITR.

Any ideas on where I should start out pressure wise?
