Default kelly blue book? edmunds? or nada? whos more accurate!!?

well im looking to buy a dc5 and im trying to find the values on them. well all 3 of these methods have been around for aobut the same time. Here's the deal, i found a blue dc5 2002 with 77k miles on it clean too, was a cummuter car. he was real quick to drop the car to 13k. well, kbb is 13k with 77k miles. heres the problem tho..

-----------Private party-------------Trade in------------------Reatail/dealer
KBB---$13075(today is 12,965) ----$10,475------------------$16,725

Edmunds $14,866 -------------------$13,861--------------------$16,540

NADA-----------------------------------$13852---------------------$16375

Heres the deal, i see default choice for most people and places is kelly blue book, but most hte time they dont know about the others and a sales manager told me that kbb isnt always updated(in this case i think its in the future!) Well, who do i go by? edmunds and NADA are DAMN close in prices then KBB retail is close too. So odds 2 to 1 could trade in really be $13852? because i know i wouldnt be trading my 02 in for 10k and having them sale it for $16800 thats a ******* real estate profit right there! what do you guys think? retail is pretty dead on i know that...

Combine all three and use the average as your guiide. Can you run a VIN check on the car? Damn, where was he commuting to?

I believe the banks and such use the NADA for the pricing. I know in PA when you transfer a title, they use the NADA for the value of the car.

hmmm...i really have no idea! i can probably get the car for $12,500 because i have cash. He's pretty desperate to sell it but i wont have a car if i dont buy this one. there is a black dc5( i want black so bad) for $15,500 he's firm it has 29k miles but he's having a baby this month so i might offer him $13,500 and see if he takes that...i seriously dont know who to go by price though...i guess i'll go by kelly blue book for buying and the others when i sell ...
