The driver's seat in my car (obviously the one i sit in every day) squeaks whenever I move in it. I am not a big girl so I know it is not me. It is coming from the inside of the seat. I also know that there is probably nothing I can do short of getting a new seat (which I don't plan on doing). Has anyone else had a dumb 'ol squeaky seat? It drives me nuts! LOL

 

Yeah, my seat squeaks in my 99, and in my friends 98. I think it will eventually happen to everyone.

 

My car is fairly new...I've only had it for a year an 4 months or so. Oh well, I guess there is some kind of flaw in every car.

 

check and make sure that all the bolts are in tight.

 

Mine does the same thing its really annoying....allwell just an excuse to get some gsr leathers

 

take the seat out flip it up side down and spray it with squeak be gone not really called that but you'll find something at a kragen/auto zone/pep boyz near you then spray it with a deodorizer << is that spelled right i don't really care

 

Mine did that too, I think it was more or less near the seat belt lock thingy(you know, the where the belt clips into?) Anyway...I just sprayed the hell out of it w/ WD-40 and it was fine.

 

My 2000 Si does it too. As soon as the weather warms up I'm going to tighten every bolt on the seat.

 

It sounds like it is coming from the middle of the seat. I think it is a spring in the seat...oh well, I will spray everything and see if that helps! Thanks boys!

 

befor tighening everything, check for a twist d spring
