Default everybody with 215/45/17 tires

I have these tires and I want to lower my car with eibach prokit springs. Will I be okay, or should I go with 40 series tires so my tires won't rub against the wheel well and fender? Also, how much play will I have left in my shocks? Thanks.

I had the same problem. It rubbed on the inside fender even before it was lowered. I put on the eibach's and it dropped the car almost right on to the tires. I couldn't drive it with out rubbing. I had the springs taken off the next day and I cut the lip off the inside of the fender. Now it only rubs when there are people in the back seat. I would recomend the 205/40/17. That is what everone around here has on theirs.

I say 205/50/15...can't go wrong there, never rubbed even with a 2 1/4" drop!

What did you mean when you said you cut off the lip? Is it a part of the actual fender or just the black plastic lining on the inside of the wheel well?

It would depend strongly on the offset and width of the rim.

215/45-17, that's like Camry-sized tires, for a larger car. Too big for a Teg.

i have 215/40/17 tires and a 35mm drop, the wheels are ET38 offset, as i couldnt get that wheel in a 43+ offset, i had the front and rear archs rolled slightly and i've never heard them rub even with three in the rear(the fronts sit up into the arch but still dont rub, just get a good bodyshop to roll or cut the inside lip of the arch

I had 215/40/17's on my Integra lowered on Sprint Springs. They were like a 2.5 inch drop and I rubbed everywhere. I took out my wheel well liner in the front, and rolled my fenders, and I still rubbed.

Soo....I told them to a friend and bought 16 inch Slipstreams. Gonna be sportin a new look soon.
