DPFI engine harness diffeences?
just wonderin if there were any differences in the dpfi engine harneses. I need one and ive got a 90 crx dx, just wonderin which dpfi ef harneses will work, thanx.
I had a z6 in there, I need a stock dpfi harness. Someone mentioned that there were some differnces in the 88-91 dpfi engine harnesses, maybe 88-89's and 90-91's, I dunno. Someones tryin to sell me one from an 88 so I need to know.
um... unless ur planning on building up on that engine, i wouldnt do it for speed. but if ur buying that engine ur obviosly not going for speed, but for 450, it will get ya to where you want

wtf, he doesnt want your opinion on what do with his car. he obviously already had a better motor in there, so one would conclude it's a temp replacement
88 has diff shaped plugs. im pretty sure 89-91 are all the same, but a friend from ef-honda told me it's best to get the same yr to eliminate any possibilities.

The... Hmm... Dont have my notes right now...
Um, the 88-89 and the 90-91 are diff. But very slightly. 1 gets 12volts to the eacv through the drivers side main harness plug, and the other gets 12volts from that ugly, hard to remove (brown) plug on the passenger side firewall plug. Basically the blue/yel wire for the eacv always goes to the same spot on the ecu, and the 12v gets it from a fifferent location.
The other diff is the diff between auto and manual. The automatic harness backup sensor yellow wire goes to the drivers side main harness firewall plug just like manual does, but there is no green wire in the automatic harness, you can simply add this green wire in... It goes to the drivers side main firewall plug as well.
Notes:
"drivers side main firewall " = the big 14pin plug
