zc swap??

Default zc swap??

i know this has been asked befor but i just can`t get it! i`ve found lot`s of info on the swap..BUT i read the info on swaping the wiring from a dx to zc and it LOOKS GOOD ON PAPPER but is this a real pain in the a$$would i be better off buying the harnes? i think i can do it with out a problem but i`ve never done it so i`m asking you .. also i`m thinking of using the stock dx tranny i don`t race every weekend hell if any of you seen me on the street with the wife and 2 kids you`d say (look at the daddy in his hotrod)the car is great on gas and thats why we drive steady but i need more...the car will never see the track but this old guy not giveing into old age..so should i still use thedx tranny

The wiring is actually as easy as it looks on paper. if you just take your time and solder everything youll be fine.

why not use the dx tranny from what i can tell it`s just a liitle higher geared how about some info on this..why not go with the dx tranny???like i said it will never see the track ...and still want to run around in it with out pulling 7000rpm`s eveywhere...

I reused the DX tranny. I didn't want to spend the extra green for a different tranny and axels too. Like you I don't race, (Was busted doing that 10 years ago). Use the car for work and preffer the lover revs and better milage to quicker acceleration and worse milage. The ZC gives the car much more ***** than the 1.5 DPI. Hell it was cheaper than a used 1.5 with 3 times the milage on it around here. If I was going to race I would have put a B16A into it. Now that is quick. Drove a buddies. but damn 7,500 rpm at 80 mph in 5th. Not in a daily driver. Not for me.
