I can't seem to fix my Del Sol.....running on 3 cylinders!!
Ok....on my 94 DelSol b16 DOHC......as previously listed, starting a day or two after cleaning my engine bay, my ignition seems to get worst and worst!
Hooking a timing light up reveals that the spark seems to miss at random, especially at higher RPM's or when accelerating.
Also, it get alot worst when the engine heats up to temp.
Bogging bad....and barely able to idle
I checked the plugs and there was a little water there....but not much. Also, the plugs showed the engine to be running rich, alot of black stuff on there!
And these are new plugs too, along with new cap, rotor, ignition coil, and ignitor !
I also put B12 Injector cleaner in the tank to see if it was just bad gas.....NO LUCK !
HElp me out guys, what else could it be ??

So since you got water all over the engine bay you've replaced your cap and rotor and coil and ignitor? That doesn't sound true to me. It sounds like you fucked up your coil by getting it wet and it's grounding out randomly. This is a common problem. Unfortunately, the distributors on our cars suck and usually have to be replaced after you do something boneheaded like spray them with water
.
Good luck.

No i covered the distributor with plastic.....
The coil is ok....I had two of them laying around, I checked that.
The ignitor is new also since, so that is not the problem either for sure...

I'd take the distributor off the car and remove the cap and blow that **** dry with a hair drier and try it again. If not, you may be in the market for another dizzy.
It could also be plug wires, but I'd bet money on the dizzy being your culprit.

Plugs wires are next on the list......i'm getting some tomorrow.....if that is not it, who the hell knows....
and I probably should get another set of plugs too, cause mine are now black as hell.

If it happened after you coleaned your engine bay. And you say you KNOW the ignitor and coil.
Plugs or wires are the culprit.
Doesnt matter if they were new before you cleaned your engine bay.
