Like the title says...Im going to use a p28 ecu on a b17 head w/jdm b16a bottom end. Can I use a d16z6 or any other vtec SOHC engine harness with this setup?
You should modify your existing engine harness and get a conversion harness from blown90hatch

So does this harness you are talking about come with the wiring for vtec or am I going to have to add wires for vtec?
Why cant I just use an existing harness like the d16z6?

Unless you feel like replacing your entire engine harness and interior harness, I would go with the conversion harness like the one mentioned. It comes with wires for VTEC and the 4 wire oxygen sensor as well.

He said to modify your existing engine harness. What you do is you modify the engine harness that comes with your car. The plugs that go into the engine will be changed out for the ones that will fit into the motor that you have. Then you get an OBD 0 to OBD 1 ECU conversion harness. This will allow you to plug your OBD 1 P28 into your cars OBD 0 ECU harness.
Just contact http://www.rywire.com and tell him them what year and typemotor you have, what year and model your car is and what year and type ECU you have. Then tell them what engine harnesses you currently have.
