Riding pants for cold and for protection
I wear jeans when i ride. sometimes if i am going to work i am wearing khakis. not good for protection, i know.
the real problem at this point of the year is cold. the wind cuts right through jeans. i want to get some sort of pants that go over my clothes that will block the wind so i can ride in the 50s. right now i cant handle it with jeans on.
i dont want to get a set of leathers cause i am gonna have a hard time finding some that fit (6 3 and 260lbs), and i want something i can take off when i get to my destination. and keep my regular clothes on.
any ideas?

joe rocket 2002 has some textile pants...look halfway down this page... http://www.kneedraggers.com/list-color.php3?query=5.21
thanks. i went to the Kawi/Suzi dealer here in town and they showed me some joe rocket pants. the guy told me to go to walmart or sears and i could find some pants made of that 'windbreaker' type material for wind protection. i might get something like that as an interim solution until i can find some riding pants.
I used to have Joe Rocket Ballistic pants but had to return them because they leaked during a ride in the heavy rain. I now have a suit By Rhyno which works well in the cold weather and has built in armour.
To stay warm first you must have some decent boots and gloves. So with that taken care of invest in some silk gloves to wear underneath the winter ones and take a look at some Skidoo wear. Try a bodysuit under your leathers or whatever, that should do the trick.
