yes im talking about a conversion!!
i see alot of people talking about it, emplying they have done it but when i ask the simple question " how did u get the tach to work" i get nothing exept it comes out the distributor or nothing. wich tells me either they havent figured it out or theier just all talk.
this forum is for people to help people, so if you do know help a bro out. (i aint trying to start a argument its just a simple question. all these people clame they have done it but yet they are speechless. hmm..)
okay i will explane again obviously its a integra also we are going from automatic to a manual, thats all thier is to explain. if u have done a conversion u know exactly what im talking about. it doesnt matter what year or anything. your tach will not work do to the auto computer wire issues or something else. it can be corrected, ive tried a few things. got some diagrams but dont have a full helms book

Yup, you sure do.
Or, if you have an OBD 1 computer, you can modify the ECU with a manual tranny config.

so does the tach run through the ecu? the auto comp is seperate from the ecu.
yes, all instruments go through the computer first. and any gizmo like a fuel tuner that has a tach intercepts the signal from the engine (crank position sensor i believe) before it goes into the computer. the stock tach and speedo are always reading a little high for some reason, and i guess it has to do with going into the computer and coming back out.
Hmm, my tach worked. I kept the same automatic ECU. Basically did a simple swap to the manual parts. Very simple electronics (rear brake light, getting key out, etc) in the process.
What exactly are you having a problem with? Try putting your automatic ECU in and see if that works. You will throw a 1660 code for the Automatic Shift Solenoid, but it will not affect the car's driveability or anything else.

ya i hade the auto comp in at first cause i didnt have a vtec comp. the car ran fine but still no tach. everything works jyst not the tach. i guess i need to figure out what wire it is comming out of the distributor & follow it to see where the connection is wrong along the path somwhere. i have a few wires on the bottom connector going into the fire wall not attached to anything cause the 2000 harness doesnt have the same number of wires. do u have the same extra wires?
