Holy crap, sorry to hear about that!

That is soooo wierd. It was stolen from the circus circus parking lot? I had a friend a couple years ago that had his Si stolen out of the circus circus parking lot. Same thing, they put it on a trailer and towed it away. The worst part was the security gaurds saw them and did not think anything of it. It was even on the video from the parking lot camera!

Thiefs all need to burn in hell...

the car was towed/pushed out of a parking lot.
car was minus ecu, dizzy, and steering wheel!

hopefully the shell will be recovered with the cage still intact

Sorry to hear of your car getting stolen. Maybe I am more paranoid but I wouldn't park anywhere that I felt that I needed to remove the steering wheel, ecu, etc. for the car to be safe. And to think I will be in LV in August. No Circus Circus for me but then again I will be in a rental car.

I think your car getting jacked sucks. Hope you find the f*****s that did it.

Stand your ground with the insurance company. When my racecar was stolen I got them to give me purchase price for all aftermarket parts. Good luck to you, and sorry to hear about this...

How many HT cars have been stolen out of LV casino parking lots?

*crossing fingers* that you get more than just the shell/cage back.

I bought a car from a H-T member, which was later stolen. I was able to track down receipts for all the worthwile parts (brakes, suspension, motor swap, etc) either from him or the businesses he got them from. I had photos of everything, but it wasn't enough. I was only able to get less than $1000 for all of the aftermarket parts.

Insurance co's arent usually too excited about covering parts that they didnt know they were supposed to be covering.

Sorry to hear though. . .

OMG! I'm terribly sorry to hear that. I know exactly how you feel man. I can't believe after all you went threw with flying out here and driving it back. Sorry for the loss. Good luck with the insurance company.

Did you pay an extra premium? I got totally screwed when my car was stolen. I basically got blue book value and that's about it. $8K down the drain. I kept a meticulous record of every piece of work ever performed on the car with purchase receipts, but it didn't matter. I spent over a month back and forth trying to get compensated somehow. Basically I got about a grand out of the deal. They gave me full retail blue book value instead of black book or whatever else they normally go by.

Default Sounds like Circus Circus is liable

Sounds like they have a regular auto theft problem and not some
isolated incidents. Be interesting to get some stats from LVPD and
see if you can win a case against CC. Good luck!

*raises hand* mine from treasure island garage. Recovered in a few days semi-stripped. Insurance total lossed it and gave me actual cash value ~$2500. I bought back car from insurance for $235 and put it back together better than before and with money left over; salvage title now though. Thief was subsequently caught by LVPD, guilty and sentanced but I don't know what the punishment entailed; I opted to not appear in court as I was already "over it". Theif actually did me a favor by stripping it out a bit as I was set to transition it into a track car All-in-all I was lucky and actually came out "ahead" in the end.

I'd bet money that car theft in LV is organized.

Anyways, best of luck to you!.......and yeah, don't let insurance jack you around. Read closely all the fine print in your policy coverage and question anything that you don't feel doesn't agree with your understanding of what you were paying insurance to cover, especially if it is even vaguely written in the policy somewhere. Not sure if that sentence made sense.

A sting would be wild out there, but they probably have better things to worry about than taking down an auto-theft ring.

the car was pushed out of the lot with truck, then around the corner where it was flatbedded.
at least 4guys involved, very clean work minus the tail lights being smashed due to no rear bumper support and the back window shattering as they went over the speed bump a little to fast.
i jsut hope i dont have to fight too hard, my morale is very low right now; for those of you that have met me at track events you'ce seen how much stuff i can stuff in that car!
still waiting for some of these :rightarrow: :leftarrow:
