Removal of a/c & p/s ?
can the removal of these two somehow cause a strange rattle that sounds like its coming from the driver side? after engagement of vtec you hear this strange grinding of some sort. thought it was the tensioner tor the t/belt so that was adjusted but the noise is still there. its been buggin the living hell out of me. anything would help. thanks.

those are great pictures.
to tool man: i took my a/c a p/s out to be lighter, i dont know why you asked but it makes a lot of sense when you only own one car and go autoxing on occasional weekends. i dont know about california, but for me, it doesnt get that hot in jersey and its not that hard to turn a wheel
i dont know whats causing the rattling, but i doubt it has much to do with the a/c and p/s. chances are you left something loose, but i really dont know try to give more info

LOL!! that made my day
Try reving you engine while not in gear and if you still hear the noise something might be loose, if you hear nothing its gonna be something mechanical most likely

And I think you're a vagina, but nobody really cares -shrug-. My car has windows and a steering wheel and it weighs like 2100 pounds: it's plenty cool and it isn't hard to steer. In fact, the feedback without PS is much better (to me).

That's what your procharged GT is for
. 400whp with 3.73's? Hot damn!
.
Civics aren't fast. You'll pick up some mileage without AC and PS and that's what they're best at

The mustang is just my toy, it really isnt all that fast.. low 12s is the best I can do..
but the gas milage isnt that bad, I get 20 something on the freeway..
And my civic gets like 30 something, I dont need to get rid of AC on either..

adding power doesnt aid handling
as mentioned before, the responsiveness of non ps is better and im not a 12 year old girl so a manual rack is not a challenge.
50lbs off the front end of a front wheel drive 2100lbs car is effects the handling in a very positive way.
there are many many advantages to removing the powersteering and the a/c, another unmentioned one is that the car is a lot easier to work on.
sorry to thread jack
