My civic is overheatng bad. I believe it is a blown headgasket but I don't want to replace it I just want to drop in another d16z6. Do you guy's have any suggestions on where to find one for a good price? Most of the places I've been looking want about $800-$900 shipped. I've seen some of you guy's talking about $300-$400 for one. Any suggestions?

Try the classifieds section Also look up the D15b Vtec motor as well
overheating could be lack of coolant, air in the cooling system, bad radiator cap, fan not kicking on, bad thermostat...

 

It's blowing coolant out of the overflow. the overflow has oil residue and it smell's of exhaust. I pretty sure it's headgasket. I just need to know who has the best prices on engines.
