exhaust question

Default exhaust question

im about to put a exhaust on my eg...im getting it done at meineke and its gonna be custom bent...now should i buy a good muffler for it or should i just get one from meineke..the car is only a daily driver and i dont know if i should put the money towards a good muffler or just get one from meineke..

reason for askin is for sound.....i dont know if a cheaper muffler will give me a raspy sound...i want a nice deep tone not too loud sound

If you want a good sound get a name brand exhaust/muffler if you want crappy sound get an ebay muffler. Although, my brother got an Apexi N1 style muffler from ebay for 30 dollars and it sounds nice deep and low. Well worth the 30 dollars.

i wouldnt buy a muffler from meinke if you want a quality sound tone...buy a system from a reputable manufacturer...

Pick up a cheap , lightly used one off of classifieds

make sure you get a resinator (check spelling) put on your bent piping and a cat. or else it will be raspy no matter what muffler you get, i had a straight pipe with a greddy evo 2 axel back and i hated it because it was raspy, i got rid of it
