Default driver side fender

im getting a deal on a fender and plan on putting it on myself. I've never done this before and want to know if its something someone without experience should be getting into. everyone tells me its easy and a "1-2-3" procedure, but when i did a search here i read about having to take off the front bumper and it seemed alot more complicated than i had expected. whats your opinion? do you have any advice or any links to a site with pictures? thanks

You have to remove the side skirts. Under the skirts there will be clips with screws in them. Unscrew these and then the clips will come out. From the rear, push the side skirt forward and it will come off. Then you can get to the bottom bolts of the fender. If you open the door and look towards the top of the fender, you will see another bolt. Then there is the 3 on top and finally, towards the fron there will be one attaching the fender to a bracket that goes to the chassis and then another attaching the fender and bumper. You shouldn't have to remove the bumper to take off the fender. And oh, I almost forgot, you will have to remove the fender liner but my car didn't have this and i have not opted to get new ones but you should easily be able to look in there and see the clips that hold it in and be able to remove it. Good luck.
