Default Slightly OT...Happy B-Day to me...The Type R Story...

Well last year on April 29 I was on my way to get my new DL (turning 21) and I was rear-ended at a stop light, totaling out my 95 GSR. That was pretty shitty since I had only drove that car for about a month. So as soon as I got home I started to look for a Type R. On May 2, a guy from Ann Arbor put his R up on Auto Trader and I call him up that morning. I end up going on down and he is selling it since he's getting engaged and is getting rid of some of his toys...So he let's me go for a test drive by myslef, and he's like, "go ahead and take her out". As I pull off his side street I have this smooth 2 mile stretch of road and let it rip, and I fell in love. A few days later and I'm the new owner of 01 Acura Integra Type R #940. I thought I would throw this up since I will probably be drunk later . Thanks to all the people who have helped and the people I have met on Honda-Tech and Team-Integra, it's been a great year. Here are some pics...

Stop trying to convince me to upgrade. All of these threads. I'm getting sick of it.

Bastards.

Hmmm... hanging out with the American Muscle Car Club?

I see a late 60's Camaro (68-69?), a Malibu, a 442 or Cutlass, a GTO, a Nova... no imports in your area? And is that a rail dragster behind you?

BTW, nice R!

Like how he says it....

It was a pretty messed up crash. My seat snapped a few clicks back and the rear seats were about 6 inches from my head. Walked away with some deeply scrapped legs and the good ol smell of gunpowder from the airbags...The R has been a total blast, buying parts for it, being broke because of it...But I can never part with her. I see Evo's, Supra's and STI's where I live alot and makes me think, but I could never get rid of her..Looking forward to seeing you at EXPO 98DC2R. Here are a few more pics, off to get some grub and booze..

Tearing up the old to pay for the new...
