Default Gunmetal paintjob

My friend is looking to paint his car and neither of us has ever done this. He wants to paint it gunmetal color. How much is he looking to pay for this color paintjob? Does the price have anything to do with the color?

Color matters but not that much really. What affects the price the most is the brand of paint he uses, how good the shop is, how many coats of paint/clear they do on the car, and how much prep work needs to be done.

It costs around 2500-3000 to get a good paintjob done, with door jams, trunk, and engine bay done.

Yeah its expensive I kept my the same factory red but with a little bit brighter but not much. So no door jams, no engine bay and the body work was free because it only had 1 dent that wasnt even noticeable really.

My price was $980. Remeber thats no door jams, trunk and engine bay! So $1500+ is what you will be looking at.

I paid $2300 for mine, BMW Jet Black. That's pretty sweet dude... Lead paint! Don't let any infants eat paint chips off of your car.

Honda was charging me $2K for an entire paintjob. That included lifetime guarantee, all jambs, outter shell and flattening of all minor dents. What it didn't include was the engine bay and the rest that I'd have to do myself like... remove windows (not doors/hatch), mirrors, weather strips, molding, door handles, etc.
