clicking when turning (not the usaul)
o.k. I am about to buy this 91 integra from this dude ..it is in mint condition ...the only thing is it makes a clicking noise when turning ..now usually this would be one of your front axles going out ..but he claims he went through changing it out over 3 times ..returning each axle to O'reily's claiming they gave him another bad axle ..but after 3 axles and it still clicks ..its time to look elsewhere for the problem..any suggestions??...just so I know what I'm in for when I purchase this car..any input would be greatly appreciated ..
Differential is on it's way out. Mine made the same clicking even after I replaced the axels on my old 92 teg, so I sold the car. From what I understand, the diff took a dump not long after.
If you can find a decent b-series tranny for cheap (look in the classifieds here, lots of deals) and have the know-how to put it in, I'd go for it. Get him to knock some $$$ off the price though.

thats gay, my cars making the same noise. its been quietly clicking for about a year now, and it hasnt gotten any worse/louder. my friends 90 integra made an exremely loud clicking noise for a while, then right after he sold it the car **** on whoever bought it. hes heard that the clutch is bad, but i dont know. it did have 220k on the original tranny that was beat to hell. when i had to repace a cv joint in my old accord, it got so bad that the steering wheel would shake when driving, and it clicked when driving in a straight line
...I appreciate the input ...so your opinion even if worse case scenerio and it is the differential ..you still think its a good buy? ..he's selling it to me for $3,000 ..the car is in beautiful condition ..besides that clicking
