New pics of my RHD 98 spec ITR
NEW PICS BELOW!!!!
Well some of you may know me from posting here for a while, but I thought it was time to introduce my pride and joy (car wise) to everyone since I was able to get some new pics since the weather was decent!
Here is some info on her...
I got her Feb. 2004, and it took me almost 8 months of major red tape to get her legit (registered)(please don't PM me on how!).
It came from the factory with no Power steerng, and no ABS!!
I was really suprised considering that 98 specs have both standard, but it did have AC.
It is even more rare cause there were very few silver ITR's made in 98. It also came with a ton of maintenance and service papers from Honda. Came with...
- metal mugen badge on the back
- Mugen pedals
- Omori vacuum gauge
- NGK plug wires
- Yellow replacement non reflective glass on the outside mirrors
- Carozzaria (pioneer) tweeters on the mirror covers on the doors
- Lots of literature in the glove box
- all three original keys, and keyless faub
it did have a Mugen header on it but they put the 98 header back on it (how I know is cause the metal Mugen badge only came with the header, and I have the Jasma certificate for it
Idiots!).
Here is a pic after I got it ...it had shipping scuffs here and there and the the passenger fender had a few dents.

Here it is now with some Mugen/Tanabe suspension, and paint...

The tiny battery that came in it...

It's really great that you were able to obtain such a beautiful specimen of the JDM kind. However I do think that it is a little selfish to come on to a tech site to brag about your purchase, and not have a bit more technical information on the details of your “red tape” experience. Knowing the difficulty in acquiring a vehicle form Japan, one would think that you would want to help others trying to accomplish this same goal. If the purpose of this thread was to show everyone your car, wouldn't it be better left in the appearance forum? Nevertheless I digress, and would have to say nice purchase.

Sweet car! I have been searching everywhere for that yellow mirror glass after seeing a 96spec ITR with them a while back but have failed to find it anywhere on the www.
Enjoy the car!

well, for one thing, each state is different on registering, so the way he did it, you probably won't be able to. registering them federally is impossible. best thing to do is to call your local registration office and talk to them. you'll be suprised how helpful they are.
