replacing my alternator? help with taking it off?
Well I have a pretty hefty sound system that is gonna require a lot more amps than my 99 accord 2.3L alt puts out, so I bought a 180amp alterantor. Its a direct bolt-on, im just wondering a couple things:
What sort of tools will I need?
Do I need to unplug anything besides the battery?
Do I need to mess with the "pulley" on the other side of the alternator?
Anything else I should make sure I do/Dont do?
Thanks guys, im really not a huge engine person so I dont know much, i appreciate the help.

you will need sockets: 14mm, 12mm, and 10mm
you will need a ratchet and perhaps an extension or two
I recommend unplugging both battery terminals (+ and -)
There are two electrical connections to the alt you will need to detach
the new alt should come with a pulley attached
don't overtighten the belt. do check belt tension after 50-100 miles to ensure it didn't loosen up.
very easy job IMO.
