Z6 in an EF question about vtec
ok im almost finishin up the swap...only thing left is pluggin the wiring harness in...(many thnx to Rywire for all their help)..so myt question is ive heard that when this engine is on an ef the vtec really kicks in...what can i expect as far as hearing it switch over and stuff...sorry the ricer/noob question just curious....

actually its no different from the way it behaves in the car it originally came out of.
otherwise, assuming yous using a p28 with obd1, the engine doesnt know the difference.
if you want more of a noise, get an aftermarket manifold, a more agressive cam, a straight through exhaust, then you will have more noise in vtec. lowereing the crossover point will also make you "feel" it more, but thats usually not the best solution.

But yeah, you aren't really going to hear much. If you have an aftermarket intake you might hear it.
