i was trying to get my exhaust off to race, but i didnt bring a jack with me. i was going to drive one wheel on the sidewalk, then i had an idea. some guys were working on the construction of the hotel we were staying at so i asked them if they were busy and if they could help me out, they said ok. i was appreciative

not risky at all. i mean, you ever used your front right jack point and lifted the jack roughly 16inches to where both rims come off the ground? same thing. I work with forklifts all the time, they can handle their own in terms of weight.
it got the job done.

i only run it with the exhaust off when i make pulls and passes. butt dyno says 5whp. i might **** around on the dyno sometime to see if its even worth it. but right now, i feel it is
I've been picking the damn things up like that for quite some time now. It makes engine swaps particularly easy, and it really saves your back when you don't have to manually jack the thing up.
if you don't think it's risky for yourself, that's fine. however, it was definitely a risk for those construction guys to help you out. lets say something did happen, who's insurance is gonna pay for it? sure as hell not the company's insurance that the people who helped you work for.

lol... that remind me of when i used to work at a junkyard:
at the time we did not have a lift, so we took two forklifts, and put them on either side and picked the car up (took 2 people working in unison) until it was the right height to do a tranny. we had to be selective on which hysters we used, cause some "crept" faster then other and the car would come down unevenly.
