89 Civic Battery light, then no start? "HELP"
Hello all! I am completely at a loss!! My 89 Civic 1.5 EFI will not start! it just cranks and cranks. Earlier in the day I noticed that the battery light would flicker at idle in drive. when in park the RPM would jump and the light would go off. I drove it around town with no real problems. I then went to leave McDonalds and it will not start!! just cranks and cranks.. I noticed the CEL does not have the "click" like it should when the main relay gives power to the pump. I am almost sure that the no start is due to a faulty Main relay because of the symptoms and the no "click" but... the battery light also scares me, could it be an ignitor coil? or alternator causing it not to start? when we try and jump it has plenty of power just wont fire.. Any wisdom on this issue would realy be help! Can a main relay cause a battery voltage light light???? thanks so much in advance for any infomation!!!!
Thanks I did try searching and found some great threads on "main relay" one of my main questions is if a main relay can cause a battery check light?
