Default What is with ITR spinning bearings?

Well I have been reading posts and keep on seing a trend of people spinning rod bearings. What causes this? Is it poor break in or poor oil or over abuse. I am wondering if this is natorious for B18C5's. If somebody could elaborate on what causes this and how to prevent it would be nice

Thanks
Chris

Oil breakdown, oil starvation or oil contamination I'd suppose, Chris. This is assuming that the bearing was not damaged when installed into the 'girdle' and it was properly fit. It's really difficult to tell without inspecting the engine.

P.S.

I've not heard that the B18 Series was especially prone to such failures.
