Default 94 F2 Sputter

I am looking at getting this bike its a 94 clean title F2 with 14800 on the clock. He only wants 1400 but I talked him down to 1200, but there's a problem. The bike sputters down low and you can definitly tell that it is running rich just from the smell. It also has some white smoke coming out of the exhaust. It was started up today for the first time in about 1.5 weeks and was dripping some oil or gas mixture from right were the slip on attach's to the header. I know the guy who has it pretty good and it has never burnt any oil. Does it just sound like a carb issue? Maybe it needs new jets? Think it just needs the carbs tunned and so it is running really rich? Any info would be awesome! Thanks...

Running rich/lean is most likely carb related.
Pure white smoke (not like condensation) could be a nice headgasket.
If the fluids were just normal run off from the drain tubes, i wouldnt be worried, but perhaps look into it more before you buy.

sounds good, even if you have to get the carbs cleaned, if the bike is in good shape, 1200 isn't bad.

carbs cleaned at a shop is ~100 bucks
