Default how much...

how much oil does it take to fill up a 99 jdm itr motor?

i did the search and all i found was ton's of write-ups on different oils and all that stuff, just need to know how much it hold's without over-filling

4qts if you're changing the oil, 5 if flushing it, something like that I believe.

4 and a 1/4 always worked good with me. or 4.2 as someone already mentioned.

i've got the jdm itr motor in mine been putting in 4.5 for about the past year and a half now and everything seems to be going strong .

97 JDM ITR here. When I change my oil, it takes 4.5 quarts to get it dead on. Keep in mind, that this is after being ran for about 20 minutes and at least 1 vtec engagement. If I put in 4.5 and read the dip stick right away, it will read a little high just because the oil needs to get into all the little nooks and crannies in the engine which happens after being ran. I might be over doing it, but after I drain the old oil, I always let a fresh quart pass through before putting the plug back in just to make sure all the old stuff is out.
