Cheap, Light wheels other than Rota......Anyone?
hm... considering the price, I really love the Rotas...
I've been thinking of another set of Slipstreams for race tires..
but then it will be too boring..
hmmm.... (think hard)..................................
can anyone give other 'not so expensive' wheels other than rotas? (opinion, suggestions, etc)
since $$ is really hard to come these days, I think I might have to say bye2 to MF10s... (and they're 16s too, so more $$ for the tires)

In place of the MF10, how about Rota C8?
if I have a 4 lugs conversion, I might put on my Jwing Rims that I have lying around since I sold my Del Sol...
oops...sorry.
I have a wheel page that tells you ALL the aftermarket rim's weight, but it's down right now.
You can also look into some Mazda rims, or go here for some other info:

I like K-1s as well. But for streets, I prefer a 16" 45+ offset Slipsteram

I think the best bang for buck light weight wheels are the Mazda Millenia's (12lbs). But, I pick this wheel with the following assumptions:
1. You do not care about looks (they can be painted though)
2. You are running a stock size tire or close to stock size
3. You are not doing "heavy" track days. The wheels may not be super strong. I will use them on track days, but for real racing, maybe not.
I picked up a set for $150 !! from Greenleaf in Texas. 817-831-0946

cast version looks similar to K1.
$150 each.
10.5 lbs each
there was a thread here about the QF I think, the forged version.... and in that thread was a link to a shop who will sell the cast version.
not bad at $150 each for a 10.5 lb wheel.

Personally, I think I'm gonna get a set of these...D-Power TS-05's when I have the funds to build my track car. I like the way they look and I can get them for cheaper than Rota's. They don't come in 15" tho, just 16" and weigh the same as the Rota C8's.

Yeah, 15", 17" and 18". go to http://www.machiii.net to check them out. I think they're only available in 1 or 2 colors.
Yeah I also want more info on those D-Power TS-5..
(weight, offset, etc)..
too bad there's no 15s...
how heavy are the 16 and 17?

Piyoimut and gsr98vtec: look at my sig for info on the D-Power TS-05's. They weigh 1lb/in so the 16" are about 16lbs, same as Rota Circuit8's. They come in +40 or +45 offset and either silver, white, bronze, or gunmetal (tho, gunmetal is an extra $30/wheel). If you're in socal, you can come pick them up. If not, then a zip code is needed for estimate shipping. Email me at jainikke@yahoo.com if you need more info or have more questions. Thanks.
Kosei K.1 Racing 1570 they run about $750cdn or around $470usd per set.
Buddyclub P.1 SF (Cast version) is about $150usd per wheel. I think the P.1 QF (Forged version) 15s will be way over your budget.
