modifying y8 distributor for mini me

is there a way to modify the y8 distributor to work with a 4th gen si ecu? like cut the wires and solder them to the existing wired from the harness and leaving out unecessary wires from the distributor?

nope, the gearing internally is different (dont know the technical terms)....
