I bought a AutoMeter Tach off a friend of mine yesturday and installed it last night.Everything went good as far as the install.This morning when i went to drive the car i noticed that my speedometer wasn't working I thought OK forgot to plug something in.Then my check engine light came on.Later i noticed that my secondaries where not opening.I figuered out that i lost the little metal pin that goes from the speedo cable to the gauge cluster,so i know why the speedo doesn't work but would that have an effect on my check engine light and the fact that i can't get my secondaries to open.
