Rota SubZero's? What weight? Any problems with them breaking?
I like this rh cp035 knock off design better than the slipstreams... So if they're equally as light and strong i'll get a set of 15's...
Anyone heard of them breaking?
Anyone heard of them breaking?
Also, if the SubZ's were the same weight as the SlipS's, then it means the SubZ's have more mass distributed on the outer radius of the rim. (since SubZ's have very thin spokes vs. SlipS's good sized 5-spokes) More rotating mass on the outer edge is not a good thing given the same weight... but then, with the HP that you make, it wouldn't make a much difference.
p.s. are you back yet?
I have.

The slipstreams aren't necessarily stronger than the subzero's... The width of the spokes may be one thing to consider, but the depth of them is another. So they may have less width but go farther in to make up for it. Also, there are twice as many spokes to make up for that.
Nobody has any substantiated evidence of these wheels breaking, cracking, or otherwise screwing up?
.....and yes, I'm BAAAAAAAACK!

Give it time. A lightweight cast wheel is lightweight because there is less material used to manufacture said wheel. Any wheel will break if abused, though. Given the price of the phillipine made Rota, I guess you could still bend them and replace them up to a certain extent and still come out financially better. But what do I know. I am just a forged wheel *****...!!!!
