Default radio code.. dash wiring?

Got a 92 hatchback formy girl, and it didnt come with a radio, so i got my stock tape deck and put it in, and turned it on and it said CODE. It wouldnt do anyting at all. just said code. So i thought the tape deck was messed up. So installed a cd player in it, then go to turn it on... it says TEL. like its some kind of error also, it wouldnt do anything.. the cd player works I KNOW and is hooked up 100% correct.

What can be going on? is it the dash wiring for the audio or what? im lost.
PLEASE HELP MY GIRL WANTS A RADIO

Was the CD player a Honda OEM radio as well? You need the security unlock code for the specific radio. You can find people on here that will find your code for you, or you can call your local Honda dealership and they will look it up.

You will need to remove the HU and get the serial # off the back of it, and they will look up the code using that number.

u cant contact anyone from here bcuz their code wont work, what u have to do is take the radio into the dealership and they will give u the code. each radio has a different code, so they pulll it up by the serial # on the radio

so is it a factory clarion player from honda? or is it a aftermarket one. cause if it is after market then you are screwed, and need to contact Clarion, or just get a new Radio.

the stock deck if you take to a honda dealership they can pull the code up for you. you just need ID and like the registration to the car.

yea its a security code thats all. whenever power is taken from the radio it goes into this mode. if you have the owners manuel then you may want to look in there. sometimes its in the front couple of pages, or the back. and also in the radio section.

Get a new radio. if its 5 years old its going to die soon. just go to best buy pick up a 100 dollar radio and be on your way.
