Stereo not working ___ any suggesstions.
Im assuming there's power going to the stereo because the interior light and clock are working.
The fuse on the head unit isn't blown.
the stereo isn't turning on.
let me know if you want some more info
anything will help.

i didn't check it because there was power going to the clock, and they're on the same fuse.
is that an incorrect assumption?

yeah check the grounding wires... a friend of mine put in a new stereo into his car and it wouldn't work... so he brought it to some shop and they told him he had to ground one of his wires and then it worked after that lol... if not you should be able to take it to a company like tweeter and they'll take a look at your wiring
i don't have a wiring diagram, if theres any info you could give me about the location, color of the grounding wire , that would be great.
it is not stock stereo, its a pioneer hooked up to an amp and a subwoofer. it came with the car and haven't gotten to it yet.
thanks

okay... here is a possible solution
red- 12 volts switched
yellow -12 volts constant ( radio memory)
black - ground
If you have power on both the red and yellow wires on the pioneer deck
and its grounded it should work..provided it aint fried.

check your grounds. like the one above the gas pedal and by the main relay.
otherwise what "audioroach" said is 100% correct.
power to red and yellow, black to chassis with a good fuse in the back has to light it up or the deck needs repairing/replacing.
get a test light or a multimeter from sears for 20$ and verify the voltage and grounds.
