Alright so I have a 90 Civic HB DX body is meh, I have a friend with a 90 Civic HB SI. Engine is fine tranny is blown, Body is mint. He is sell it for 500$. Now am I able to drop the tranny from the DX slap it on the SI and have no problems or will I have to find an SI tranny?

My friend said just swap the vin numbers from my car to that one because it's the same color same year but I find that a bad plan lol. Just a lil something I found funny to spice it up.

Yes that will work.. But you should just leave your DX alone and find another Si trans for the Si you're looking at. Or best yet make your friend fix it before you buy

 

The reason he is selling it so cheap is because the tranny is blown. I could probably find the tranny easily. But it's a pain in the *** job putting it back in, I learnt that on my DX now when I had to replace the clutch lol. Driveway Repairs own.
