I bought this CRX HF shell. it was sitting for a while, and thought to myself $200 is a fair price. while i was stripping the interior(was planning to paint the whole car inside, and out). I FELL THROUGH the floor. now I have a whole about the size of the engine compartment. isn't it funny. I need your guys opinion. should I just buy a new shell, or should I just find some guy to weld it.

P.S. i thought this whole thing was funny. i wish i had a video camera. you guys should have seen how i fell through.

lol I'll go look for a digital camera. I practically have 2 engine compartments side by side with the firewall between them. i can touch my fuel tank, and can almost see it looking into my car. kinda sucks. I find it amusing since I have been having problems with theives, and kids breaking my windows, and jacking my ashtrays, and misc parts.

You can hang on to it for spare parts if it has good fenders etc, and you wont have to spend as much on the next one. Unless you have a connection or a torch, the repairs might cost more than another one.

Go custom on the floorboard. That way you've already got a new one built, and you won't have to worry in a couple more years when they start falling out of all the CRXs.

for me to fix it, the rear quarter panels would have to have none or little rust. if that was true, then i probalby would fix it and make a project out of it, and do something weird. anyone think of buying like a totaled passat synchro or any other vw awd car with a 4 cyl transverse motor? would be a fun project. i'd think of an r32, but i highly doubt a vr6 would fit nicely in there, plus its cast iron.
