Default CLUTCH? TRANNY? IUNNO?

umm
im not no master mechanic or what not...
but why is it that when i try to put my gear into gear...its so hard putting it in...
like when i try to put my car into reverse...it wont go into gear...
its like i have to SLAM that dam thing in...and sometimes it still wont go in...
and like when i drive on the freeway my 5th gear always pops out...alll the timeeeee.....

can some1 tell me whats my problem?

what kind of car ? if its a cable tranny it might be an adjustment problem. if its a hydro tranny, you might have some issues.

mine does that on reverse sometimes. Is your shifter kind of stiff? Mine was, so I loosened the bolt a little and that helped.

It might be the tranny fluids. When changing gears, try pushing the clutch in and out about 2 times before shifting and see if it goes in smoothly.

i have a 95 civic dx hatch with a LS swap...
dont know too much bout cars so dont know what kind of tranny i have

Change the tranny fluid and make sure it has the right amount. It could be low tranny fluid.,
