Default Need help: Seibon or VIS carbon fiber trunk?

Need some opinion on these 2 brands, dont know which one the quality, lightness and fitment is better. If u had one of these 2s carbon fiber trunk please share ur pov of the finish product.

i had a vis hood and it was very good quality. i recommend a stock trunk though

get a seibon. i have there hood, and it is perfect fitment, one of my buddies has a vis hood and it doesnt fit and its fading after 1.5 years. seibon is a smaller company so they pay more attition to detail

I would say go seibon only because VIS as a company is a piece of ****

and unpainted carbon is gay anyway, unless you like being the new ultra duckets rice - then more power to you

seem like ppl dont really like the idea or cf trunk here? Id like to save more weight for my coupe since its a SiR model, quite heavy, already got cf hood and other stuff..........

From what I hear, Seibon is a reputable company, but a lot of people have different opinions on VIS. IMO, if you get a CF hood, PAINT IT!!!

I have a VIS hatch on my EG.

Very good quality, half the weight of the OEM one, easy to fit (only a couple of locating holes to drill).

Would (and have) reommend to others

not as of yet, but not had it long enuf. I do know you need to take care of it so it doesn't fade.

any decent carbon part comes with some version of clear coat so as long as you maintain it from day one you should'nt have much issues

Instead of throwing money away on a part that only makes your car more likely to be stolen, why don't you send half of it to me and give the other half to charity. I know I'll feel a lot better and - even though it won't make your Civic faster - I think you will too.
