Default Depo Headlights Vs. TYC Projectors

Depo's from http://www.Autodynamic.com compared to the TYC Projectors. Pro's and con's? From what I've read, the Depo's use H4 for the low beam or maybe that's just the JDM ones. TYC's use H1 for lowbeam and have a real projector. Most likely going HID with either set-up anyways but just wanted some input. TIA

either way you wont be satisfied with the light output of either light. Just stick with the stock. But if you still want the projectors, I'd recommend a retro-fit

I'd love to do a retrofit but I don't have the time. Between school and work and the 3 cars I'm working on, it's not gonna happen, plus the cost for me anyways of buying the projectors and HID's and extra set of headlights, I'd rather just slap a set of headlights on right now and call it a day and save the retrofit for when I have more time to do it carefully.

I would keep stock but if not TYC as I'm not a huge fan of the black housings. I for once think the stock ones are the best looking(on 5th Gens especially but really all Accords although 6th gen with amper reflectors removed) and the best light output. The only aftermarket ones I really like are the Integra style ones by APC although I think I still like stock best.

i personally say you retrofit...there are many people willing to do this for you on hidforums.com and all in all, it really will cost less than aftermarket headlamps with aftermarket hid's...also, the projector output on the tyc's haven't gotten very good reviews...and from personal experience, i can say that the oem or oem style lamps don't do real great with hid's either...

here's my retrofit that i did myself, using audi projectors and hid's...

by the way, that's silverstars next to HID's...just so you get a refrence...

for doing the retro by yourself.

However, because you are using different colors for the foglight, corner, high and low beam, you have turned your car into a ******* X-mas tree.

Yeah those look really yellow everyone I have talked to say Silverstars don't look like that they look more like stock lights maybe even yellow bulbs but mainly just stock.

what you need to realize is point of refrence...next to the hid's, the silverstars will appear more yellow than if you were just looking at the silverstars by themselves...but yes, they are silverstars like it or not...

take a pic of just the highs on, cuz in my last car i would park next to cars that had HIDs, and i had silverstars, and the light color was almost exactly the same, HIDs were just a bit brighter

Compared to silverstars, that is the same color contrast i have experienced too...just FYI. They are no where near the color of HID bulbs, atleast not in my CL-S and S2000...both have that cool aqua/blue color, where silver stars appear white, until compared where they seem to take on a yellow hue almost.

they are stock headlamps...i painted the inside and projectors black to resemble the jdm lamps and used the jdm corners...

but yes, you are correct...the low beams are 6000k hid's, high beams and fogs are silverstars, and corners are generic amber bulbs...

Do you have any pics of the fogs or anything with just silverstars lit? The other pictures I have seen of them they don't look like they have any yellow to them. I personally haven't used them though. I have used several other sets though. I find it hard to believe those are bulbs like Silverstars although the Silverstars arnt all that blue but still.
