Ok m new to this so......
I have a 91dx hatch and I'm thinkin to do minee me swap...so which one would be better to do...
do a minee me swap w/ d16y8 head or just swap it with full d16y8.....
Oh yeah with one is better d16z6 or d16y8??

Well first off this has been covered a million and one time do a search under minime, or mini me, or mini-me and you will come up with a lot of results....

Second a mini-me is when you swap a vtec head onto a non-vtec block so if you used a whole D16Y8 it would be a motor swap not a mini-me.

As for which is better some say the Z6 head is better some say the Y8 is better. I think the Z6 head flows better than the Y8 but the T8 IM flows better than the Z6 IM.

 

go with the z6. better flow, higher compression. just a kicka$$ single cam to build all motor. holla

 

y8 mini-me has higher compression than the z6.
